PowerSkate
PowerSkate is designed specifically for hockey and ringette players. Geared to skaters aged seven or older with a minimum of CanSkate Stage 4 experience, participants must have basic forward and backward skating skills and be able to skate the length of the rink using alternate strides and be able to stop on command without use of the boards.
Our NCCP-certified Skate Canada coaches focus on progressive drills to enhance key skills such as balance, control, agility, power, and speed and sharpen your skating for real-game situations. For safety reasons, all PowerSkate participants must wear full hockey/ringette equipment that is CSA approved. At Goulbourn Skating Club we offer PowerSkating lessons in September (for one month before the hockey/ringette season), from October through March (as a weekly session to run concurrently with the hockey/ringette season), and again in April (for one month of training to round out the season). |
