Fundraising Policy

1. All skaters registering with the Goulbourn Skating Club (the “Club”) must participate in the Club’s mandatory fundraising (the “Mandatory Fundraising”), either by purchasing the item required to be purchased for fundraising or by paying the fundraising Buy-Out Fee, as set by the Club Executive on an annual basis.
   
   
2. Currently, neither CanPower skaters nor PrePower skaters need participate in the Mandatory Fundraising. This exception for CanPower and PrePower skaters may be reviewed and revised by the Club Executive on a year to year basis.
   
   
3. Guest skaters, who buy individual sessions of ice, from time to time, during the skating year, need not participate in the Mandatory Fundraising.
   
   
4. Members of the Executive of the Club, or those designated by the Club Executive to specific working committees or otherwise allocated specific duties and tasks by the Executive for the entire skating season, need not participate in the Mandatory Fundraising.
   
   
5. Skaters who are registered with a skating club other than the Club (“Non-GSC Skaters”), but who have registered with the Club for regular ice sessions throughout the year, must participate in the Mandatory Fundraising, save and except for Non-GSC Skaters who register for “early bird ice” who need not participate in the Mandatory Fundraising.
   
   
6. Any skater seeking an exception from this fundraising policy must apply to the Club Executive and the Club Executive will assess the request for exception based on reason and merit, balancing those with a need for consistency and fairness to all members of the Club.
