Club Coach
For the benefit of the coaches dedicated to and
hired by the Goulbourn Skating Club (the “Club”), the
Club Executive approves the following policy:
- During Club Winter skate sessions, but excluding
Fall skate and Spring skate sessions, only coaches hired by the
Club may coach on the Club’s Winter ice. Lisa Ross, a former
Club coach, is grand-fathered for purposes of this policy and
may coach on Winter ice upon application to the Club Executive.
- Notwithstanding the general rule stated in
paragraph 1 above, non-GSC club coaches may coach on any early
bird ice session bought by the Club.
- If a Club coach is unable to attend a session
for which he/she is responsible to coach, that coach must obtain
a substitute coach for such session. The coach must first ask
Club coaches to substitute for them. Only if such coach cannot
obtain a coach from the Club, may that coach then ask a non-Club
coach to be a substitute. That non-Club coach will only be entitled
to attend on such session as a substitute coach if she/he provides
copies of her/his registration with Skate Canada, proof of payment
of all coach fees and other fees owing to Skate Canada, and other
proper documentation reasonably requested by the Club.
